The Playland at the Brooklyn fair is a free play area for children with a distinctly agricultural/educational flavor. Playland has numerous hands-on games which include Milk Maker, Bean Bag Toss, Dress the Scarecrow, Tractors, Help Farmers Grow Your Food Game, The Corn Maze, The Grocery Game, Farmer For A Day and The Corn Pit. In addition to the hands-on games, children can take part in other fun events like learning to make balloon animals with Bella the Clown, Sack Races with a Twist or Veggie Car Racing. Outside the playland tent, children can explore the interactive Playland Village complete with a school, hospital, pizza restaurant, general stone, ice cream, post office and police station. In addition to the various activities, four bikes are given away every day. The Playland area is located near the Main Gate.

To celebrate the opening of the fair on Thursday night, a large fireworks display by the acclaimed PyroFX will start things off with great fanfare. PyroFx Entertinament Group are the pyrotechnic artists behind numerous movie, TV show and event fireworks displays including the New Year's Eve display at Times Square New York City, Mohegan Sun Summer Nights, Dateline NBC, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and more.

Visit the Home and Garden building to view everything from Aprons to Zucchini in this staple of agricultural fairs. The various exhibits on display are judged and awarded prizes.

Follow Memory Lane into our expanded Country Store and Museum located under the Grandstand. This newly renovated building showcases an outstanding display of antique farming equipment including an antique farm kitchen and is under the direction of Ryan and Amy Vertefeuille.
