Rules:
For all timed events, cadence will be “contestants ready, timers ready, 3, 2, 1, go”. Jumping the go will result in disqualification. Contestants may not more their cuts until judges determine they are complete. All cutting will be done on 8×8″ white pine except disc stacking, which will be on 6″ octagonal. Any questions shall be addressed by the head judge.

Modified Saw:
Chainsaw only. No bikes, snow mobiles, etc. Each contestant will be timed on taking 3 cuts (down, up, down) within a 6″ marked space. Any missed cuts must be taken in order. Crossing or hitting the marked line will result in disqualification. A 5-minute warm-up for all contestants will precede the event, followed by a one-minute warm-up before each heat. Saws on the ground, not running, hands on wood. Saws may be flushed during warm-ups for the next heat.

Stock Saw:
Same rules for modified except saws on the ground running.

2-Man Crosscut and Jack & Jill Crosscut:
Each team shall take 2 complete cuts within a 6″ marked space.

Men’s and Women’s Bow Saw:
Each contestant shall take 1 complete cut.

Men’s and Women’s Axe Throw:
Each contestant shall take 5 throws at a white pine target 20′ from the throw line, bull’s eye 60″ above the ground. Crossing the line before releasing the ax will result in no score for that throw. Best 3 to be counted; remaining 2 total to be used for tie breakers. Further ties broken by 1 throw.

Pulp Toss:
Each team of 2 people shall throw 3 sticks of pulp between 2 stakes 6′ apart, 20′ distance. Each stick landing between stakes will be 1 point, 20 points needed to complete the event. Crossing the line before releasing the stick will result in no score for that throw. All sticks do not need to be behind the line before throwing. Fastest times to 20 points wins.
