The Brooklyn Fair has many FREE attractions for kids of all ages!
Playland
Head over to Playland - a free play area for children with a distinctly agricultural/educational flavor.
Kids can be a Farmer for the Day
- Milk Maker – Try your hand at milking our pretend cow
- Bean Bag Toss
- Dress the Scarecrow
- Tractors – Great for the little one! Drive your tractor through our corn box field.
- Help Farmers Harvest Your Food Game
- The Grocery Game – A matching game; match up the product to the vegetable/fruit it came from.
- The Corn Pit
Or they can participate in one of the events at various times throughout the 4 days!
- Donut on a String Contest
- Wheel Barrel Races
- Egg on a Spoon Races
- Sack Race with a Twist
- Water Races
- Pie Eating Contest

- Cheese Head Competition
Visit with Bella the Clown and learn how to make Balloon Animals. She’ll be giving them away Friday, Saturday & Sunday!
Be sure to enter the Free Bike Drawing EACH day! Pick up your ticket as you come in the gate.
Or how about enter the Vegetable Car Race. What is Vegetable Car Race? Picture a pinewood derby race using fruits and vegetables in place of the wood block!
Outside the Playland tent, children can explore the interactive Playland Village complete with a school, hospital, pizza restaurant, general stone, ice cream, post office and police station. Or play in our Bubble Area!

Elsewhere at the Fair
The fun doesn’t end at Playland, head over to one of barns or out buildings to see the animals; there are cows, oxen, horses, sheep, donkeys, pigs, poultry, rabbits and more. Ride in the Petal Tractor Obstacle Course. Walk through the Backyard Farm to see how your family can incorporate a little bit of agriculture into your yard.
