You must have stalls in order to be able to compete in any of the classes. All entries with barn space must be on the grounds Thursday night and must remain till 5:00 pm on Sunday. It is one team per driver per class. You have to use the same team and compete in all three classes in order to be eligible for any of the trophies. “ALL” teams must be clean and in “ show condition” at all times.  All exhibitors under 19 years old as of January 1st must go in showmanship.

Classes are under 14 yrs old , 14-19 yrs old and over 19 as of January 1st. 

All animals must have proof of rabies vaccination and a health certificate. All out-of-state animals must show proof of TB test. Camper space is available but all exhibitors must PREREGISTER CAMPERS with the appropriate forms and fees. All livestock trailers must be parked in the designated area for the weekend.

The Donald Francis Trophy
The Donald Francis Trophy honors Don and his commitment to youth and agriculture in Windham County and the State of Connecticut. This rotating trophy will be presented to the best teamster, under 14 years old as of January 1st, as determined by total points awarded in the Stone Boat, Showmanship and Cart Class.

The Jean and Ray Ludwig Trophy
The Jean and Ray Ludwig trophy is in admiration for their many years of expertise and undying love of oxen, their dedication as 4-H leaders and open willingness to help young and old teamsters across the country. This plaque will be presented to the best teamster age 14-19 as determined by total points awarded in the showmanship, Stone Boat, and Cart Class. From the working steer family, a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Ludwig’s!!

Herdsman Award
Exhibitors will be judged throughout the fair on management, appearance of animals, attractiveness of exhibit, safety and cleanliness.

MUST BE AN EXHIBITOR IN THIS LIVESTOCK DEPARTMENT
