Barn space is limited so all entries must be in by August 1st. Barn space is on a first come first serve basis. “ALL” teams must be clean and in “show condition” at all times. All animals must have proof of rabies vaccination and a health certificate. All out-of-state animals must show proof of TB test. All classes are open. All entries with barn space must be on the grounds Friday before noon and must remain through dismissal time on Sunday. Camper space is available but all exhibitors must PREREGISTER CAMPERS with the appropriate forms and fees. All livestock trailers must be parked in the designated area for the weekend. All exhibitors under 19 years old as of January 1st must go in showmanship. Classes are under 14, 14-19 and over 19 as of January 1st. Each team may be shown or pulled only once in each class.

The Donald Francis Trophy
The Donald Francis Trophy honors Don and his commitment to youth and agriculture in Windham County and the State of Connecticut. This rotating trophy will be presented to the best teamster, under 14 years old as of January 1st, as determined by total points awarded in the Stone Boat, Showmanship and Cart Class.

The Jean and Ray Ludwig Trophy
The Jean and Ray Ludwig trophy is in admiration for their many years of expertise and undying love of oxen, their dedication as 4-H leaders and open willingness to help young and old teamsters across the country. This plaque will be presented to the best teamster age 14-19 as determined by total points awarded in the showmanship, Stone Boat, and Cart Class. From the working steer family, a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Ludwig’s!!

All teams must be driven with a whip and lash or wood goad stick. Hitch and unhitch no chain person. Ct rules will apply.

Herdsman Award
Exhibitors will be judged throughout the fair on management, appearance of animals, attractiveness of exhibit, safety and cleanliness.
